月蝕
月蝕 (Gesshoku) was Kyo's first band. They formed around August 1993 and disbanded around April 1994, after an activity period of only nine months. The band name means "Lunar Eclipse" and was often used together with the tagline "schwarz weiß" (German for "black white").
Member History
The member history of Gesshoku isn't entirely clear. Especially the position of their drummer is uncertain. It appears as though the band had either more than one drummer (Shū and a yet-to-be-named person) or Shū left and later rejoined the band. This is the band's most well-known line-up, it can be found on one demo tape, the live VHS and the omnibus CD:
- Vocals – 殀磨 (Yoma)
- This name can also be found written as 妖磨 (Yoma) and 殆磨 (Hotoma). Both are wrong.
- Guitar – LAYLLA
- Bass – 忒己 (Tokuko)
- The bassist's name is written as "TOKUKO" in various places.
- Drums – 愁 (Shū)

Release History
Much like Gesshoku's member history, the order of their releases is almost entirely unknown. What can be said for certain is that the VHS was filmed earlier than October 23, 1993, since Yoma announced the October 23 live during the live that was filmed for the VHS. Furthermore, it's impossible to say if these releases are all real, or if some were bootlegged.

Note: On various websites, the songs 絶望の箱 (Zetsubō no Hako) and "Think about death" are said to be from this band. That's not the case, they were released by a different band with the same name.
