Trivia
Title
- 畏畏 (Kashikomi kashikomi) is commonly part of an incantation used by Shinto priests and alike (example). It comes from the verb 畏い (kashikoi), meaning "dreadful", "terrible" or "awesome" and the nominalising suffix み (mi), indicating appearance or state. Over time, its meaning shifted from "dreadful" to "awesome" to "worthy of respect".
