Trivia
- Not included in the booklet's lyrics are the words 落ちてゆけ ochite yuke, which means "fall down".
- Among the Dir En Grey's fanbase, it is commonly believed that this song is the original version of 霧と繭, because of the similarities in music and lyrics. The reason for remaking this song was allegedly the brutality of its lyrics, which the label didn't like. However, by comparing the lyrics of 霧と繭 to one of the earliest live versions, it becomes obvious that 惨劇の夜 came into existence later.
- It is rumoured that 惨劇の夜 was originally a spoken word performance by Kyo, similar to reciting a prayer. The only confirmed performance was on 14. June 1997 and the live report called it 語り Katari, which means Talking.
- According to the Japanese wikipedia, the working title of this song was "Tragedy Night".
