新曲6 (Shinkyoku 6) is one of the four Dir En Grey songs that were never properly released and only performed live during the band's indies era from 1997 to 1998. The other three are 新曲2, 藍紫色 and 刹那. Unlike them, this song never received an official title.
It was never released in any form and there are no known performances of this song. It is also known from an interview in FOOL'S MATE #198 (April 1998), where the interviewer asks about this song. Kaoru explains that he felt the need to change the title because the song had changed too much. It's unknown which title this song received and due to the lack of information, it was wrongly assumed that it was 刹那. However, in June 2023, Shinya took to Twitter to clarify that 新曲6 was not the working title for 刹那 and instead a completely different song.
