It was announced on December 10, 2025, the day of the tour final of TOUR25 蜿蜒 (En'en) and subsequently released on April 8, 2026.

Trivia
- This album was released three years, nine months and 24 days after the previous album PHALARIS (1393 days in total). This marks the longest gap between two album releases by Dir En Grey.
- When this album was first announced, it was said to have 13 tracks. The cover artwork and tracklist announcement on March 19, 2026, revealed that the band had decided to add an additional, 14th track. This turned out to be ISOLATION.
- This is Dir En Grey's first and only album with just one pre-release single.
- It is also the first album since Withering to death. (2005) with a tracklist that follows no consistent capitalisation.
